Do you remember when bathroom floors were layered with shag carpet? Wait! What?! You don’t! Oh, we really feel old now! Back in the 1970s—for some crazy reason—home builders were installing shag (yes, shag!) carpet in many bathrooms across the country. The idea: to help reduce the cold and damp feeling a majority of bathrooms would exude. What the builders failed to realize was this design choice was not only visually displeasing, but extremely unsanitary. 
While many homeowners have since ditched the shag in favor of tile or linoleum flooring, there are still many other problem areas that homeowners have put off addressing. These areas include: rickety kitchen cabinets, pink and blue toilets, tubs and sinks, wood paneling and our personal favorite… floral wallpaper!
